Suggestions for a home hosting setup
Suggestions for a home hosting setup I’m a mechanical engineer and I’ve been using 3D printers for almost 10 years. I always wanted to do more with them (or at least get some return for the time I spent). I also started learning some coding — basic languages, Raspberry Pi setups for 3D printers, locally hosted printer software, etc. For years I didn’t even know what keywords to search to start learning web development, so I kept avoiding it. But with the recent Google Antigravity (the agent-based IDE/coder), I finally decided to learn by actually building something. Right now I’m trying to make a full-stack 3D-printing quote request website and whatever other features I can come up with. I know AI alone can’t “handle” a full website and the maintenance will be painful, but I can’t learn anything unless I actually use it, so I’m learning as I go.( I even got a 200 page book just to take notes and try to really learn like uni. style) Here’s the main point: I have a 10-year-old PC (4-core i3, 8 GB RAM) and a 1 Gbps connection. I thought I could just self-host my website and learn everything along the way. I’m using Node.js + Next.js (frontend/backend with React libs), SQLite with Prisma, and AWS SDK for Cloudflare R2 image/file uploads. I’m also planning to use Cloudflare’s free Zero Trust tunnel for security/publishing/access, plus NextAuth for user accounts and encryption. I researched some distros and saw people recommending Ubuntu Server, Debian, or Alpine for setups like this. But I’ve never used a terminal-only OS before( or terminal heavy distros, I only used mint). **With all this context, which Linux distro would you recommend for a complete beginner trying to self-host a small website and learn?** And just a reminder: I know internet security is a huge deal even with Cloudflare tunnels, but my main goal is learning how to run and manage my own website. Worst case, I’ll keep it on local LAN first and try 24/7 hosting with some real features or personal tools just to ease my printing workflow. Also this ended up longer than I expected, thanks for reading.

Can anyone help me get a clear understanding about LEXICAL
Can anyone help me get a clear understanding about LEXICAL So i have an internship in a company rn and a guy asked me to learn implement richText instead of string. And i try to do that and mb im stupid but i dont really get wth is it and why would i like to use it.I guess its actually used here in reddit to do smth like **that** and that it makes it a JSON in some way but i dont really understand the whole logic of building components with it.Why do i have so many components from it and what do i do with [it.It](http://it.It) feels so messy to me.Also i recently started with TS and next.js because this guy also told me to switch to it instead of react. Also i dont understand how to implement it to my project where i had `interface Item {` `name: string,` `description: string,` `}` So at the end. How do u use it?Because im ass and it feels like i dont get it :'(

I built an AI tool that generates Telegram bots in 5 minutes - BotGenius
I built an AI tool that generates Telegram bots in 5 minutes - BotGenius Hey r/TelegramBots ! 👋 I've building BotGenius, an AI-powered Telegram Mini App that helps anyone create professional Telegram bots without coding. # **🎯 The Problem:** Building Telegram bots is complicated. You need to know Python/Node.js, set up servers, write documentation, handle deployment... it's overwhelming for non-developers. # **✨ The Solution:** BotGenius uses AI to do all the heavy lifting: 1. Select your niche (16 options: Crypto, AI, E-commerce, Gaming, etc.) 2. AI generates a profitable bot idea with market validation 3. Choose from 8 professional code templates 4. Get production-ready code with complete documentation 5. Deploy to GitHub with one click # **🤖 What You Get:** \*\*8 Professional Templates:\*\* \- E-commerce Bot (complete online store with cart & checkout) \- NFT Minting Bot (TON blockchain integration) \- Gaming Bot (leaderboards, achievements, rewards) \- Community Manager Bot (auto-moderation, welcome messages) \- AI Bot (Gemini/ChatGPT integration) \- Mini App (React frontend + Express backend) \- Python Bot (python-telegram-bot) \- Node.js Bot (Telegraf framework) \*\*GitHub Integration:\*\* \- One-click deployment \- Automatic repository creation \- All files pushed to main branch \- Professional version control # **Code Preview:** \- See file structure before buying \- Preview code samples \- Tech stack details \- Complete feature list # **💰 Earn While You Build:** The app has a gamified economy where you earn $NEURO tokens: \- Daily login: +2,000 $NEURO 🎁 \- Mining game: 100-300 $NEURO per hit ⚡ \- Referrals: 500 $NEURO each 👥 \- Achievements: 22,500 $NEURO total 🏆 \*\*You can build your first bot completely free!\*\* Just 3 days of daily logins = 6,000 $NEURO = 1 bot template # **🎨 Bonus Features:** \- NFT System (mint your ideas as NFTs on TON) \- Co-Founder AI Chat (unlimited technical advice) \- Global Leaderboard (compete with other builders) \- Portfolio Management (save unlimited ideas) \- 24/7 Support Bot # **💎 Why I Built This:** I saw so many people with great bot ideas but no way to execute them. BotGenius democratizes bot development - if you can describe your idea, you can build it. # **🔥 What Makes It Different:** ✅ All-in-One Platform (Idea → Code → Deploy) ✅ Production-Ready Code (not just templates) ✅ GitHub Integration (professional workflow) ✅ TON Blockchain (crypto-native) ✅ Generous Rewards (actually free to use) ✅ No Subscriptions (pay with $NEURO tokens) \*\*📊 Real Use Cases:\*\* People are building: \- E-commerce stores selling digital products \- NFT minting platforms for artists \- Gaming bots with token rewards \- Community management tools \- AI assistants for customer support \- Educational quiz bots \- Fitness tracking bots \- Recipe recommendation bots \*\*🚀 Try It:\*\* Bot: BotGeniusTelegram\_bot Support: BotGeniusSupport\_bot \*\*100% free to start. No credit card required.\*\* Would love your feedback! What kind of bot would you build? \--- Here are some FAQs: \*\*Q: Is the code actually good?\*\* A: Yes! It's production-ready with best practices, error handling, and complete documentation. Each template includes README, .env.example, and deployment guides. \*\*Q: Can I modify the code?\*\* A: Absolutely! Once generated, it's yours. Edit, deploy, monetize - whatever you want. \*\*Q: What's the catch?\*\* A: No catch. Free to start, earn tokens through the app, use tokens to generate code. Or buy tokens with TON if you want to skip the earning part. \*\*Q: Does it work for beginners?\*\* A: Yes! That's the whole point. No coding knowledge required. Just describe your idea and get working code. \*\*Q: Can I deploy the bot?\*\* A: Yes! One-click GitHub deployment included. From there you can deploy to Railway, Heroku, Vercel, etc.

Built this AI trading Terminal as my first vibe coding project with 0 budget since i couldn't afford a Bloomberg. Let me know what you think! Demo ( 3min vid ) So basically it's an AI powered stock analyzer that doesn't just show charts, but explains why a stock is moving ( Earnings, predictions, insider trading tracking and portfolio Healt Scores etc. I built this locally using Python and Next.js It runs perfectly on my laptop ( localhost ) **Honest question :** is this worth putting online? If there is enough interest I'll build a landing page and try to figure out a way to host it for free / cheap. **Let me know what you think** and especially if you have experience from this kind of stuff.

Google not indexing website
Google not indexing website I deployed a site a few weeks ago, and Google won't index it. I already did 'test live URL' in the search console, both on the homepage, subpages, and sitemap, and requested indexing for all. The homepage is the only thing that got indexed; however, the favicon won't load (have it as both .png and .ico). https://preview.redd.it/bmvrukvyhg4g1.jpg?width=1188&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f1e8f70b3a2551e185c0f75645a2be0fdf8abc22 The two subpages aren't indexed, even though they are viable for indexing. The sitemap 'couldn't be fetched', when I click on it, it shows this: This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below. `<urlset xmlns="http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9">` `<url>` `<loc>https://ilovemd.vercel.app</loc>` `<lastmod>2025-11-27T08:18:48.223Z</lastmod>` `<changefreq>monthly</changefreq>` `<priority>1</priority>` `</url>` `<url>` `<loc>https://ilovemd.vercel.app/pdf-to-markdown</loc>` `<lastmod>2025-11-27T08:18:48.223Z</lastmod>` `<changefreq>weekly</changefreq>` `<priority>0.9</priority>` `</url>` `<url>` `<loc>https://ilovemd.vercel.app/merge-markdown</loc>` `<lastmod>2025-11-27T08:18:48.223Z</lastmod>` `<changefreq>weekly</changefreq>` `<priority>0.9</priority>` `</url>` `</urlset>` This is the link to the website: [https://ilovemd.vercel.app](https://ilovemd.vercel.app) And this is the link to the GitHub repo: [https://github.com/guy915/iLoveMD](https://github.com/guy915/iLoveMD)

Should Front-End Developers Learn Design Tools like Figma?
Should Front-End Developers Learn Design Tools like Figma? Hello, I've been improving myself in the front-end field for a while—working with CSS, React, and Next.js. I'm wondering if learning tools like Figma would give me an advantage in finding a job, or should coding and design remain separate skill sets?

Didn’t find a job as a data analyst so I built a data analytics tool
Didn’t find a job as a data analyst so I built a data analytics tool While searching for a job as a data analyst, I ended up building my own data analytics tool called WeaverBI. You can upload data, create charts, build dashboards, and experiment with visualizations directly in the browser. https://preview.redd.it/ydpc3taffg4g1.png?width=2469&format=png&auto=webp&s=c9dbf8caf89575e237aa44be845882c50120e04c I also opened a Reddit community for it where I’ll post updates as I keep working and improving the tool. You’re welcome to join and share your charts or anything you create. I’d really love to see what people make. r/WeaverBI I know some things aren’t fully working yet, like certain chart types and features. I’m still developing everything, but I wanted to release it early to see how people react and what feedback I get. Feel free to try it here (no need to log in, just click "Get Started" -> “continue as guest”): [https://weaverbi-marketing.vercel.app/](https://weaverbi-marketing.vercel.app/) Thanks to anyone who checks it out. Also, come to follow WeaverBI on LinkedIn: [https://www.linkedin.com/company/weaverbi/](https://www.linkedin.com/company/weaverbi/)

[Recommendations] Comexim Half-Cup Size Conversion (34JJ UK), Other Polish Recs and Sizes
[Recommendations] Comexim Half-Cup Size Conversion (34JJ UK), Other Polish Recs and Sizes Hi friends! I have a couple questions- one on sizing a particular bra and one on general recommendations. I’m looking at buying the [Comexim Tanzanit Half-Cup](https://miseczki.com/collections/shop-by-size/products/tanzanit-unlined-half-cup-navy?_pos=2&_fid=6a0294be4&_ss=c&variant=47096740348142) from Miseczki while their sale is going on and I was hoping I could get some advice on sizing. My ABTF calculator size is **34JJ** - measurements and shape description at bottom of post. I’ve consulted various Comexim conversion calculators with very different results. It’s got my head all twisted about! The [Miseczki calculator](https://miseczki.com/pages/find-my-size) (which I’ve seen recommended here) says 34N (US)/34JJ (UK). The [GitHub Comexim Calculator](https://comeximcalc.vercel.app) says 75Q/R when buying from Comexim or 34L/LL when buying from Breakout Bras. I’m pretty sure the Miseczki calculator is wrong based on the bra’s description (and general Comexim rule of thumb) to go up 1-2 cups. Simply going up 2 cup sizes from the 34JJ would give me **34KK** on Miseczki’s page - does that seem like it might work, based on my measurements? For that matter, based on my shape, does the Half-Cup construction seem like it might work? The Miseczki description (good for even or full on top, short and narrow roots) checks all the boxes, but I take that with a grain of salt. I would also love specific recommendations (especially with starting size estimates!) for: - Specific Ewa Michalak styles (BM has worked well for me in the past; I recently tried on a 34JJ in BM and SF, forgetting to size up. The band was great on both but the cup was slightly too small on my right side in the BM, causing some spillage near the middle, and the SF was at least 2 cup sizes too small and maybe not projected enough - lots of spillage on top on both sides + gore not tacking + wires slipping down/creasing a full inch from the bottom). My best guesses are the BM/HBM/BML and potentially the SF/SF-L and/or CHP. - Do the Gorsenia and/or Miata sizing from the Miseczki calculator seem like a decent starting point? - Are there any other Polish brands that can be tried in the United States that would be available in this size range? ABTF Calculator Measurements & Shape: ``` Loose UB: 35.5 Snug UB: 33 Tight UB: 31 Starding 46.75 Leaning: 51 Lying: 47.5 Calculator Size: 34JJ (UK) I also have a fair amount of asymmetry - the right breast is around 1/2-1 cup size larger than the left (it’s varied throughout the years), and much more full on top. It’s my “problem child” in finding good fits. I’ve found I sometimes have to go up a cup size from my ABTF size to fit it properly. Shape: Very projected with lots of immediate projection, very close set (less than a finger width apart), soft tissue, left breast has even fullness and right breast is very full on top, both breasts are center-full. Roots are pretty short and fairly narrow, I think (I’m less sure about this aspect of shape). I have a lot of squish and tend to prefer a tighter band for support. ``` Miseczki Calculator Results: ``` MIARA: 34M US Size EWA MICHALAK: 36M US Size / 80J Brand Size (EU band, UK cup) GORTEKS: N/A GORSENIA: 34M US Size / 75M Brand Size (EU) SAMANTA: N/A COMEXIM: 34N US Size / 34JJ Brand Size (UK) ``` I’m hoping this post wasn’t too confusing and long-winded. 😬 Many thanks!

Claude isn't too expensive, infact it's too cheap... It really is, I went from zero to launching a full working next.js website and backend and first commission check on the way in 2weeks. Last night I picked up an old stalled project and got it test ready in one evening. It's so unbelievably game changing. It really feels like the beginning the end for tech giants and paid for software/apps... It's just so incredibly cheap to produce and undercut the competition. Tldr; I'm bullish on hosting infrastructure and short pay to use software giants, your time is very limited...

OP here. This is a detailed analysis of a malware attack I recently encountered.<p>TL;DR: I was approached for a job on LinkedIn and asked to run a Next.js project. The malware wasn&#x27;t in package.json dependencies but was triggered by next.config.js executing a fake jQuery file during npm run dev.<p>It dropped a Python RAT that targets LastPass vaults and crypto extensions. I managed to deobfuscate 65 layers of the payload to find the source code.<p>Happy to answer any questions about the analysis or the vectors used.
